DIMAPUR, JULY 17 (MExN): The Christian Education Department of Elohim Rongmei Baptist Church, New Jalukie conducted its 23rd Vacation Bible School from July 12 to 16. 

The 5-days long Vacation Bible School was conducted on the theme ‘Hall of Faith Heroes.’ The week long Bible School was held with Christian Education Director, Aphun Gonmei as VBS Director, along with 26 VBS Teaching Staff including Music Team, Volunteers, VBS Committee members, Women Department Catering Team and altogether 218 students took part in it. 

There were six different classes during the event; Pre-Beginner, Beginner, Primary, Junior, Intermediate and Teen class.

There were special days during the 5-days event, Day of Beauty, Friendship Day & Tiffin Sharing, Day of Mission, Costume Day & Competitions and Witnessing Day and Love Feast. During the event, children got to learn Faith Heroes Bible lesson stories, new songs and craft work for each class. There were class activities display and group competitions; the activities includes, Solo, Duet, Bible Memory reading, Bible Character presentation, Prayer Competition, Choral Reading and Choreography competition and sing along led by the Music team in the morning and evening sessions. 

On the final day, Rosy Malangmei, VBS Staff shared on the theme. Aphun Gonmei, VBS Director gave the concluding remarks and declared the results of group competitions. Out of the four groups; Fides, Pistis, Emunah and Hayman; Group Fides and Group Pistis were declared the overall champions and runners-up respectively. 

Later, Hugiak Gonmei, Convener, VBS Committee thanked all the staff, Church Council, departments under the church, volunteers, VBS Matung Phwam, catering team, donors, contributors in cash and kind, VBS Committee members for the service rendered. The final day programme was anchored by Makiuliang Kahmei, VBS Staff.
