Emotive Strings is set to hold its second edition of a ‘one-of-a-kind show’ this Sunday, March 19 at Spirit of Faith Church, Dimapur.
Addressing the press fraternity here at Room03 this afternoon, Mele Pucho, producer Emotive Strings said that the screenplay with live performances will be a different kind of experience, incorporating different art forms such as spoken word, dances, songs, instrumentals.
The show which is “more of a display of different art forms” is an original work of Emotive Strings, from the story line to the music and graphics. Maintaining that the artistic show is a ‘first’ not only in Nagaland but in the rest of the country, the dynamic team of graphic designers, animators, musicians, script writers aim to put up the show annually, with a different story line each year.
Nourhe Khate, who is the principal artist of Emotive Strings also said that the concert will be more of an experience, where the audience get to feel a personal connection with the story which cannot outrightly be put into words. Headlined ‘The Garage,’ the 75-minute show is based on a person’s life from his childhood to his life as an adult. Pucho said that it was first performed in Kohima on November last and this second edition will be a revised version.
Maintaining that there is no age-bar, that it will be a family show, the team invited all to come together and the experience the art, which they likened it to watching a movie.
Emotive Strings is a multi-faceted audiovisual production dedicated to telling stories through visual/ocular enactments and to communicate without the need or demands of the vernaculars, through instrumental or vocal sounds moulded in an array of emotions. Nagas, known for their love of music and the art, the dynamic team of five invited everyone to come and experience the show, while also supporting the artistes in their own way.
Tickets priced at Rs 500 (admit one) will be available online, and the team can be reached on their Instagram handle @emotive.strings. The show will begin from 5:00 pm onwards.
