•    3,32,2112 ration cards holder in Nagaland

Dimapur, April 24 (MExN): The All-Nagaland Fair Price Shop Association (ANFPSA) organised its first annual session programme under the theme ‘Serve in dignity’ at Orchid Hall Saramati Hotel, Dimapur on April 23. 

Addressing the gathering as the special guest, Chubawati Chang, NCS, Director, Food & Civil Supplies; Nagaland, Dimapur stressed on National Food Security Act, (NFSA) 2013 and its implementation in Nagaland, stated a press release received here. The Director called upon the dealers to always work in line with the guideline given by the Government through the Department and labour towards achieving the goal set by the Ministry. 

He also shared on the mandatory reforms directives from the Ministry such as road optimization, ePoS device integration to weighing scale, modernization of fair price shop and its viabilities in implementing National Food Security Act, 2013. 
He appealed the FPS dealers to work with ‘fair, transparency and accountability’ in serving the 3,32,2112 ration cards holder both AAY & PHH in Nagaland. 

Chang, who came along with his Deputy Director, Assistant Director of Supply Dimapur and R&D, encouraged the member present to strengthen the Association with support and cooperation and deliver best services as FPS dealers to the entire beneficiaries of Nagaland.

Office bearers for 2024-2027 elected
Meanwhile, during the programme, the five-member nomination committee declared the new team of office bearers for the tenure 2024-2027. The team will be led by V Phusjika Aomi-President, Bedusai Theluo and Vekehiekho Kintso - Vice President, G Meijiang - General Secretary, Kahuto P Awomi and Meribeni Lotha - Assistant General Secretary, Shikuto Yeptho - Finance Secretary, Vepranulu Nyekha - Media Secretary, Ezanbemo Yanthan and P Nokpan Konyak - Organizing Secretary and Toshi Aier & Nyamto Konyak - Executive members and Hotoshe Sumi - Advisor.

District Units member from Dimapur, Kohima, Mon, Phek, Peren, Wokha, Tuensang, Zunheboto, Chümoukedima and Niuland also attended the programme. 

Earlier, invocation was said by Assistant Pastor Lanlango Yanthan, Presidential address from Hotoshe Sumi, brief insides of Association by G Meijiang, momentary note on adaptation of Constitution by V Phushika Aomi, Nomination committee reports and declaration of new office bearers 2024-2027. The events conclude with a closing remark by CP Gonmei, Advisor.
