The Kiphire unit office of the Eastern Nagaland Educated Unemployment Union (ENEUU) was inaugurated here on Tuesday by R Joshua, chairman of the Kiphire Town Council. Speaking at the function as chief guest, Joshua said that ENEUU is a big banner and so its members should retrospect and introspect while holding office.
As you know how to receive you should also know how to work, the KTC chairman said, adding that employment is not the only way to survival, that “there are many ways out; you should know how to avail it with positive attitude”. The chief guest also said that in a democratic society at times government is biased, but all need to work together transparently to solve unemployment problem. Also expressing appreciation to the ENEUU president, Joshua said he expected a major change in the society under his leadership.
Quoting the scripture, the District Planning Officer for Kiphire exhorted the gathering saying, “If you do not work you should not eat”, while adding, “Attitude towards work should be positive; then we are all employed”. He further encouraged those present to look forward and achieve success.
Earlier, the president of ENEUU while welcoming the gathering said the ‘educated unemployed’ should get their rights and that, irrespective of the government, they would fight for their rights. He also shared the activities and success story of the Union. The programme was chaired by the ENEUU vice president.
