ENCSU new office bearers take over

Tuensang, June 1 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland College Students’ Union (ENCSU) held its handing taking over programme at the conference hall of Tuensang Guest House on May 27 in the presence of four ENCSU federating units.  

On behalf of the Interim Council, Akum Lims welcomed the newly inducted ENCSU office bearers. He encouraged them to come under one umbrella in the spirit of brotherhood and work for the welfare of the students’ community to bring progress in the field of education for present as well as future generation, according to a press release from the union.  

ENCSU General Secretary Wangnei Jessuhu congratulated the Interim Council for serving the union for two years term. He acknowledged that the Interim Council Chairman Longre Chang and Joint Secretary Nokchem Angth worked greatly towards change for the interest of Eastern Nagaland, thus paving the way for the new team to work forward.  

He also acknowledged the Convenor of Interim Council Achemba L Sangtam for forming the ENCSU under his leadership.  

Meanwhile, ENCSU Vice-President Wangchat Konyak maintained, “It is through the four ENCSU Federating Units, the ENCSU has accomplished in forming and organizing the Union. Henceforth, the Union is not of one man's leadership but through the unity of many.” He appealed to the units to connect, serve and grow together with the ENCSU, to motivate the Eastern Nagaland students, to introspect the past with an optimistic faith in present, to mobilize for an educational prosperity in this highly technological and global era in the four Eastern Nagaland districts, the release stated.  

The four federating units, it added, declared to support and stand by the ENCSU. The ENCSU also finalized with the federating units to organize the Eastern Nagaland College Students' Union Federation Meet in the month of July 2017.
