ENDBU urges restrain between Tikhir and Yimkiung communities

Dimapur, October 14 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland Dobashi's Union (ENDBU) has issued an earnest appeal for sanity and peace following recurring violence between the Tikhir and Yimkiung communities.

In a statement issued on October 13, 2026, and signed by G/Secretary Ngoubangsomba and President Imkong Phom, the union expressed deep grief that the ongoing cycle of hate and violence continues to claim precious lives despite collective yearnings for peace and goodwill.

"Let us face the heard truth that 'Violence offers no Solution'. It does not bring justice. It only breeds suffering and bitterness. There is no victory in a grieving land," the statement read.

The ENDBU has urged community leaders, mothers, fathers, and particularly the youth to turn away from the path of violence.

The union also called for collective prayers, expressing hope that the wisdom of the people will prevail to secure a shared future built on peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding.
