ENNWA of NNPGs & ENPO hold joint consultative meeting

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 20 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland National Workers Association (ENNWA) of NNPGs and the Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organization (ENPO) held a joint consultative meeting on the initiative of the former at Hotel Saramati Dimapur on August 18. A press note from the media cell of the ENPO informed that the issues of the ongoing Naga peace talk and the ENPO statehood demand was thoroughly discussed. The ENPO continued to laud the Government of India (GoI) for inviting the WC of the NNPGs for the talks in 2017 and said “it was ground-breaking with much optimism towards political consensus in the protracted Indo-Naga political issue.” While expressing its continued support for the Naga peace talk of all the groups, the ENPO hoped that the ongoing talks will usher towards bringing a meaningful dialogue and a lasting solution acceptable to all stakeholders at the earliest. Meanwhile, the ENPO has also appreciated the ENNWA-NNPGs for their co-operation and support towards the ENPO demand for a separate state “after having understood the genuineness of the demand.”
