
DIMAPUR, MARCH 5 (MExN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Association (ENSA) met Min Ko Naing, the student leader from Burma and a prominent social activist who was imprisoned for more than two decades since the 1988 crisis in Burma. A press note stated that the ENSA team led by President, Michael Kaita accompanied by Y Khomong Khiam, General Secretary and T Mankhat Konyak, Vice President met Min Ko Naing and his colleagues in Yangon on Tuesday, March 5.
The purpose of the meeting was to highlight the activities and the objective of the ENSA as to how the two entities could network together for a better future in this “transitional period of the country” and in a responsible manner.
Min Ko Naing, who is a Student’s Peace Prize winner and his team expressed their excitement and optimism on the ENSA visit from Nagaland. The ENSA also extended an invitation for Min Ko Naing and his team to attend the ENSA general conference which would be held by October this year at Khamti Town. It stated that Naing and his team shared their willingness to participate.
