ENSA (Myanmar) to hold General Conference

Dimapur, October 7 (MExN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Association (ENSA) is organizing its second General Conference on October 15 and 16 at Dimapur Town Hall with State Lok Sabha MP W Wangyuh Konyak and DMC Chairperson, Y Vekheho Awomi as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. 

A press release issued by ENSA General Secretary Y Khomong Khiamniungan said that the present situation in Eastern Nagaland (Myanmar) has compelled the Association to shift the venue to Dimapur. However, the release said that the shifting of the venue is a blessing since the Association would be able to listen to the hearts of the Naga brothers concerning the plight of the Naga people in Myanmar.   

“ENSA has a noble hope that, this occasion is going to be a significant since this is the biggest and first gathering of such kind in the History of Eastern Naga Students’ and the People in General,” the release said and added that due to the high restriction and ban imposed on social organisation by the Junta Government in Myanmar, the Eastern Nagas have not been able to speak out their rights.

The release informed that besides the Lok Sabha MP and the DMC Chairperson, Bamo Khiamniungan will speak on behalf of Eastern Naga people. Naga Hoho, ENPO, ENSF and NSF will also give speeches on the occasion, the release said. 

The release further urged every concern Naga citizen to attend the conference and at the same time requested the school and college authourities to grant leave to the Eastern Naga students for the two days of the conference.
