ENSF appeals govt to issue draft content of NSSB regulations

Tuensang, July 2 (MExN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) on July 2 has asked the Nagaland Government to issue draft content of the regulations for setting up the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) before the cabinet approval so as to give sufficient time to study for views, input  and comment on it.

While acknowledging the State Government for the move, the Federation opined that draft content and not the modalities provided in a nutshell in the consultative meeting held at Chief Secretary Conference on July 1 could have been more meaningful. The ENSF added that, by doing so, the NSSB will ensure equal opportunity of employment unlike in the past. It urged the government to look for an equitable and just solution. Earlier on July 1, the Nagaland state Government convened a consultative meeting with NSF and ENSF officials in the secretariat conference hall to discuss on the issue pertaining to Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB). The members had deliberated on the modalities of Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) as presented by the state government and it was agreed upon that the modalities at hand will be subjected to necessary rectification, if any.
