ENSF issues ultimatum

Dimapur, June 14 (MExN): The ENSF has put up another ultimatum to the government, this time  seeking what it called “necessary cancellation” of a number of advertisements of  the  Personnel  & Administrative  Reforms  on June 9. The ENSF addressed a letter to the Commissioner & Secretary of the P&AR seeking redress for a number of points they raised and set Thursday, June 17 as “dateline.”

The ENSF listed out its queries: that the department advertised vacancies of 36 departments “when the government has above 70 departments”; that the “exact” vacancies in the 36 departments “were not verified properly and advertised”; that when the Retirement Act was affected  “why advertisement was made only of some selected departments” and “that too  inappropriately.” The ENSF even queried “why the Reservation Policy was haphazardly formulated without any validity  of  implementation.” The ENSF also sought the government’s “stand and action against the departments where the appointment had been done against Retirement Act/vacancies.”

Posing these queries to the government,  the  ENSF has sought an independent body for all the departments to hold interviews; that the Reservation Quota should be “carved/slashed out from the actual/total vacancies and only after that  roster policy should be applied”; that the district-wise appointments “as per the advertisement should be nullified or cancelled and recruitment should be centralized”; that all the appointments done against “retirement/promotion” due to “retirement vacancies should be cancelled immediately.” The ENSF threatens with stir if the demands  go  unmet.
