
Tuensang, September 14 (MExN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has appealed to the head of departments /competent authority / officer in-charge of all the departments of Nagaland to thoroughly implement the 25% reservation for the people belonging to the six tribes. of Tuensang, Mon, Kiphire and Longleng .
The ENSF in a notification received here stated: “Government of Nagaland, P & AR (Administrative Reform Branch) “notification no. RCBT-5/87 (Pt-II) dated Kohima the 23rd July 2008, whereby 25% of all categories both the gazetted and non-gazetted posts under the government of Nagaland are reserved for persons belonging to the following six tribes: Chang, Khiammiungan, Konyak, Phom, Sangtam and Yimchunger of four districts of Tuensang, Mon, Kiphire and Longleng (Out of the total 33% reservation)”.
It stated that any department found practicing anomalies in the implementation, the head of the department / competent authority /officer in-charge will be responsible and ENSF will take against the erring authority.
It further added that the ENSF has viewed the recent interview conducted and appointment in the department of social security & Welfare, Prison and NPWD (H) where the 25% job reservation was ignored. It also stated that the respective head of the department are asked to rectify the mistake failing which the ENSF will be compelled to take its own course of action.
