ENSF tenure extended

Tuensang, August 16 (MExN): After thorough deliberation with both the present and newly inducted Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) office bearers, the Presidents of the 6 federating units of ENSF – Konyak Students’ Union (KSU), Yimchungrü Akheru Arih-ako (YAA), Confederation of Chang Students’ Union (CCSU), Khiamniungan Students’ Union (KSU), Phom Students’ Conference (PSC) and United Sangtam Students Conference (USSC) – have unanimously resolved to extend the present ENSF tenure for another three months from August 15, 2016 so as to complete the unfinished task and responsibilities.  

A press release from Presidents/Vice President of the six ENSF federating units mentioned that the unfinished task and responsibilities include the following: To resolve EEI pending issues; To immediately pursue & constitute the Nagaland Backward Tribe Commission (NBTC); To solve the present anomalies and irregularities in the Reservation and Roster system; To oversee and supervise the ENCSU representation to the State Government on technical education. It was also resolved that the period of tenure of the new ENSF team shall be accounted from the date of ascent to the office.  

The final verdict of the six federating units of ENSF, which was made to safeguard the integrity of the Federation, should be strictly adhered to by all individuals, organisations and even the state Government, the release stated. Hence, the present ENSF office bearers have been requested to resume their office w.e.f. August 15.
