Dimapur, October 3 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union Bengaluru (ENSUB) organised its 19th freshers meet with the theme ‘beauty of our roots: re-imagining traditions’ at India Campus Crusade for Christ on September 30. 

The occasion was graced by special guest, Lovekesh Phasu, Group Chief Operating Officer, Sakra World Hospital, Bengaluru. In his speech, Phasu emphasised on the importance of not forgetting the roots. He encouraged the Eastern Nagas in Bengaluru to celebrate their rich cultures, traditions and its values despite the changing world and advancement.

Earlier, the event began with invocation by Pastor Phumjei, welcome address by David Chang, President, ENSUB while a special prayer for freshers was said by Pastor Bechung Konyak, Eastern Nagaland Fellowship Bengaluru. Samson and Lily were crowned Mr & Miss Fresher of ENSUB. Nyeiwang Phom, Vice President, ENSUB delivered vote of thanks and the programme concluded with closing prayer by pastor Nikato, Naga Christian Fellowship Bengaluru.

The programme was followed by ENSUB general meeting.
