Entrepreneurs Associates launches ‘School of Life Values and Entrepreneurship’ project

Kohima, August 18 (MExN): Entrepreneurs Associates and Chandmari Higher Secondary School, Kohima have begun a unique partnership to equip the students from their school for life and empower them with skills that will enable them to adapt to changes and their environment.

Under its ‘School of Life Values and Entrepreneurship’ (SOLVE program), Entrepreneurs Associates (EA) hopes to interact with the students for about 6 to 8 sessions involving them in various initiatives to train them on taking responsibility for one’s Life, honing communication skills but most importantly be introduced to financial literacy and entrepreneurship opportunities, stated a press release issued by Neikule Doulo, Communications department, EA.

EA has been actively engaged in training, mentoring and financing many young people to take up entrepreneurship in Nagaland and Manipur for the past two decades. Training and launching entrepreneurs in all age groups, young people, students, drop-outs etc has been a major achievement of the organisation and therefore the SOLVE initiative is an attempt to reach out to more students and potential entrepreneurs, the release stated.

EA believes that the best way to groom students for their life is to help them experience a dose of reality by engaging in activities that are replications of what they will eventually go through in life. Believing in the power of “preparedness” and readiness, EA hopes that students who enrol for the program will even be able to identify more career choices available to them when they pass out of school.

It also informed that the training is expected to be a life saver for those students who may not be able to pursue further studies owing to financial constraints or challenges for whatever reason. The brief experiential learning on entrepreneurship and participation in entrepreneurial activities can make a young student become a problem solver, while generating wealth for oneself and the world. As they experience the values of living well, we hope to trigger the culture of earning while learning.

At the same time engaging students in productive and meaningful activities can also veer them away from anti-social or self-destructive activities and prove to be highly instrumental in helping them develop healthy outlook towards life, thereby contributing towards a better society.

“The pilot project which is being carried out at the Chandmari Higher Secondary School is expected to be replicated and taken up in more schools and colleges across the state,” the EA added.
