Dimapur, April 3 (MExN): Entrepreneurs Associates (EA) held its Wave 8 and the first of its kind in Dimapur had our Commencement Day today for the trainees on the Basic Entrepreneurial Skills Training (BEST) programme at its EA Training Centre in Darogapathar, Dimapur. The training was conducted from March 7 to 31 where 24 upcoming entrepreneurs underwent training on basic entrepreneurial skills. Neichute Doulo, CEO EA in his speech spoke on the importance of time management and challenged the trainees to overcome their fear of selling inorder to succeed in business. This was followed by a short speech by Kenelhouphreii Sekhose who spoke on behalf of the trainees on how the training had changed the perspective for many of them to identify opportunities that were right at their doorstep. Tiatemsu Longchar, EA Management Team exhorted the gathering on the importance of entrepreneurship with a social cause and stressed on creating a new tribe of entrepreneurs that goes beyond the narrow confines of ‘isms’, clan and religion. EA in a press release stated that the trainees have submitted their business proposals which includes various projects like livestock, tailoring, grocery stores, boutiques, wholesale marketing, marketing ‘on wheel’ , cafes etc . EA will handhold and provide credit linkage to the trainees while the best business proposals will also receive ‘EA award’, an interest free start up capital. BEST is a programme, which facilitates learning basics of start-up entrepreneurial ventures for youth and is held year round. It is an EA initiative and supported by the Tata Trust, Mumbai. As the response to this programme has been tremendous, EA will be conducting more of this BEST programme in the coming months.
