TUENSANG, MARCH 2 (MExN): A three-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme was held from February 26 to 28 at the DC Conference Hall in Tuensang. Organized by Swavalambam Connect Kendras (SCK) Tuensang in collaboration with the District Administration, the programme aimed to equip participants with knowledge of financial services, government schemes, and entrepreneurial strategies.
On the first day, the session was chaired by Topongchuba Chang, Centre Manager of SCK Tuensang, with Kihomong Yimkhiunger, EAC Tuensang and District Nodal Officer to SCK Tuensang, delivering the welcome address. Representatives from the State Bank of India (SBI), including Field Officer Tovika S., Business Development Manager Rajani Limbu, and Assistant Manager Metsivili Seyie, briefed attendees on various banking services, government loans, and credit facilities such as MUDRA loans and street vendor financing.
The second day featured sessions by District Functional Manager Khumchopi Stm and Inspector Thungdi C. Chang from the District Industries Centre (DIC). They provided insights into the workings of DICs and financial assistance available through schemes like UNNATI and PMEGP for MSMEs, startups, and small-scale industries. Local entrepreneur Doanlem shared her experiences, offering guidance on market analysis, financial record-keeping, and business strategies.
On the final day, Ngouwap Langmai, Credit Coordinator at SCK Tuensang, outlined the credit facilities and registration process for Udyam. The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony for the 30 participants.
