Mokokchung, February 21 (DIPR): As per the Election Commission of India directive, a separate Bank Account is to be opened by a candidate specially assigned for Election Expenditure and all transaction are to be routed through the Bank. In this connection the contesting candidate for 27 Mokokchung Town A/C, Rongsenshilu has opened an account in IDBI Bank, Mokokchung for election purpose.
However, it has been brought to the notice of the Expenditure Observer that the contesting candidate is unable to make necessary transaction for the above mentioned purpose.
In this regard, Rongsenshilu is directed to submit an explanation letter to the Expenditure Observer by February 23. Failure to comply with the directions, it shall be presumed that the concerned has failed to maintain day to day account of Election Expenditure as required under section 77 of RP Act 1951, and a complained shall be filed against Rongsenshilu, under Section 171-1 of IPC.
