Dimapur, July 29 (MExN): The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Special State Office, Dimapur, held a district outreach programme ‘Nidhi Aapke Nikat’ (NAN) at Patkai Christian College (Autonomous), Chümoukedima on July 28.
The programme aimed to raise awareness and provide clarity on the provisions and benefits under the Employees’ Provident Funds & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952, and its associated schemes.
Employers, employees, and other stakeholders from various sectors attended the event, informed a press release from Samuel Das, Regional PF Commissioner-II, Special State Office, Dimapur.
Das led the EPFO team and delivered the key address, alongside officials Kallal Bhattacharjee, Enforcement Officer, and T Livi, SSA.
The team gave a detailed presentation covering the rights, privileges, and social security measures available to members under the EPF Act.
Participants had the opportunity to clarify their concerns during an interactive session, and a dedicated Help Desk was also set up to assist attendees, resolving on-the-spot queries and garnering positive feedback, the release added.
PCC (A) Principal, Dr Thepfuvilie Pieru, Accounts Officer Neichuvotuo Kiso, and other faculty and staff attended the programme.
As part of the EPFO’s ‘Prayas Initiative,’ a Pension Payment Order was handed over to Suwalemla Ao, an employee of the Nagaland Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited, who retired on July 15, the release said.
The EPFO Dimapur expressed its intent to expand such outreach initiatives across other districts in Nagaland, encouraging both employers and employees to engage with the office for EPF-related matters.
The EPFO Special State Office in Dimapur is located at 1st & 2nd Floor, 218, United Colony, Half Nagarjan, and remains open from Monday to Friday (9:30 AM to 5:30 PM), it said.
