Officials and stakeholders display EPFO handbooks during the Nidhi Aapke Nikat outreach program organised by EPFO Dimapur at NSMDC Conference Hall in Kohima on June 27.

KOHIMA, JUNE 29 (MExN): The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Special State Office, Dimapur, organised a District Outreach Program under the banner of Nidhi Aapke Nikat on June 27 at the conference hall of the Nagaland State Mineral Development Corporation (NSMDC) in AG Colony, Kohima.
The program aimed at spreading awareness among employers, employees, and stakeholders about the provisions, benefits, rights, and privileges under the Employees’ Provident Funds & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. A presentation on the topic was delivered by Regional Provident Fund Commissioner Samuel Das, who also clarified various doubts raised during the session.
A dedicated Help Desk was set up by EPFO to address on-the-spot issues faced by members, which was well received and appreciated by the attendees.
Avile Vitso, Additional Labour Commissioner, Government of Nagaland, addressed the gathering and spoke about various social security benefits available under EPFO, ESIC, and the Labour Department.
A special highlight of the program was the distribution of Pension Payment Orders (PPOs) to eight retired or deceased employees affiliated with institutions including the NSMDC, National Health Mission Nagaland, and G. Rio School, Kohima.
Other dignitaries who attended the program included Visakhonu Hibo, Principal of Japfü Christian College, Kohima, and Fr. Dr. George K. Angami, Principal of St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama, along with employees of NSMDC and other stakeholders.
