Er Kropol Vitsu and others with successful HSLC candidates during the felicitation programme at GHS Sakhabama.

Kohima, June 11 (MExN): Nagaland Prison, Printing & Stationary Advisor, Er Kropol Vitsu graced the felicitation programme for HSLC successful candidates of Govt High school Sakhabama on June 7.
Govt High school, Sakhabama has been performing magnificently securing 90% to 100% pass out result every year since 2019.
Speaking on the occasion, Vitsu assured to look into the grievances of the school, shortage of teachers, classrooms, hostel and other basic needs. He lauded the headmaster and the teaching staff for their diligent effort. He handed over certificate and cash award to the successful candidates.
Rukuvito Kikhi, Headmaster, GHS Sakhabama highlighted that since 2019 the school has been functioning with just 14 teachers and as per the department norms the school is supposed to have 24 teachers and just recently 1 math and 1 science teacher were posted adding the total number of teachers to 16.
Kikhi also informed that in the past years, the community has sponsored 1 teacher for 3 years and Sakhabama Church has also sponsored 1 teacher and that’s how they have been running the school.
He expressed dismay that despite their many efforts putting up proposals to the department for their requirements, the concerned department has turned a deaf ear.
This year, out of 9 students, 8 students passed out in the HSLC Examination 2023 with distinction in various subjects.
Earlier, Pukrosül Kiso, Pastor, Sakhabama Baptist Church invoked God’s blessing while Viyol Thuphre, Chairman, Sakhabama Village Council shared greetings.
Dr Viposa Kiso, Chairman, Village Education Committee proposed vote of thanks.
