The Erchit Ministry in collaboration with Aliba Baptist Church organised a free medical camp at the Aliba
Baptist Church premises, Aliba village, Mokokchung on July 13.
The Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung, Dr Kibang Imchen, encouraged the people in the village to avail themselves of the free service that was available to them while the doctors were available during a brief formal programme. Dr Toshila, District TB Officer, also gave a short awareness talk on TB, accessibility to treatment, and stigma associated with TB.
Imnatola, District Supervisor, District Child protection Unit, Department of Social welfare, also gave a brief talk on the works of Child helpline and its functions and sensitised the people on the same.
Doctors who participated in the camp were Dr Kibangkumba (CMO), Dr Marina (MS), Dr Mar (SMO), Dr Toshila Jamir (DTO), Dr Maongtula (MD).The patients received treatment from different departments, which included orthopedics, NCT, optometrists and TB testing.
Altogether 121 patients received free treatment and medicines, informed the members of Erchit Ministry.
