Zunheboto, November 3 (MExN): An essay competition centered on "Unity in Diversity," organized by the 11 Battalion Assam Rifles, drew participation from students in Zunheboto. Led by Assistant Commandant N.S. Meitei, the event focused on promoting harmony and inclusivity within Indian society.
Assistant Commandant Meitei highlighted that "Unity in Diversity" represents the ability of people from diverse backgrounds to coexist peacefully. In his address, he emphasized the importance of equality and mutual respect in fostering unity among individuals of different caste, creed, and race.
Meitei also encouraged the youth to consider a career in the Indian Army, outlining plans for training camps that will offer guidance in written exams, physical training, and other educational aspects to help aspiring candidates prepare for the armed forces. “Serving in the Indian Armed Forces embodies the essence of national identity, transcending barriers of color, religion, caste, or race,” he remarked, underscoring the Army’s commitment to peace and national unity.
