ESSU to take strict action against defaulting officers

Aghunato, August 5 (MExN): The Eastern Sumi Students' Union (ESSU) has adopted three-point resolution to be implemented within Aghunato jurisdiction following a series of meeting with the general public, GBs, VCCs, VDB Secretaries, union executives and prominent leaders of Aghunato between July 29 and August 3.

The first resolution stated that all government offices under Aghunato jurisdiction will run within the respective office buildings and not as usual practice of running office from the officer's residences elsewhere outside Aghunato. Strict disciplinary action shall be taken against those defaulting officers or employees, it said, according to a statement from Kakugha sumi Naga, ESSU Press secretary.

The second resolution was that starting from September the ESSU will initiate its own course of actions against any officer or government employee under Aghunato jurisdiction if they are found absent from work. The union will inspect and check the attendance at its own convenient time without any prior information given.

It was further informed that in order to oversee developmental activities by checking any leakages of funds and provide “coherence” for the smooth implementation of government welfare schemes under Aghunato, Public Grievances Cell has been set up. It consists of 10 members from various organizations for a term of two years which can be extended by ESSU.
