Longleng, November 17 (MExN): The 25th anniversary of the establishment of EAC Hq Sakshi was celebrated on November 15 with MLA 50 A/C Longleng, A Pongshi Phom, as the special guest at EAC Hq. Sakshi under Longleng district.
MLA A Pongshi Phom, in his address expressed his sincere gratitude to all the leaders with great vision worked tirelessly for the creation of this EAC Hq, stated a DIPR report. He said they really had a strong conviction and vision for this administrative unit. Now it is the bounded responsibility of all to carry and move forward for the expansion and development of this EAC Hq. “While doing so let us also reflect as to where else we have been benefited and also where else we have failed. And analyse all measures and come up with strict agenda for the good of all under this EAC Hq,” the MLA added.
For the development and extension of the Hq he urged the citizens to give active co-operation to the government officers and staffs. And try to make use of all welfare plan and policies of the government.
He also requested the government servant to be responsible person “as long as you are posted here and urge all to be dutiful and help build this EAC Hq with your dedication and sacrifice.” Longleng has good roads connectivity, available basic needs and reasonable people, making it is one of the most preferred place for posting in eastern Nagaland. He made an appeal to all the officers to be attentive and sincere and then only would get to know the needs and requirement of our people.
celebrating Silver Jubilee and moving forward, hope that all the people under Sakshi EAC Hq. would take personal responsibility for the betterment and upliftment of this administrative unit. I also hope that that government servant posted here to contribute the best.
He also said that on his part he will try to look into the needs and wishes of our people and let us have good rapport and active cooperation for the larger interest of our people.
Deputy Commissioner Longleng W. Manpai Phom, NCS, in his short speech said Observing this day and organising a group serves several purposes, but bringing government administration to our doorstep is a crucial one. This day is a fantastic opportunity to reflect on and review our 25 years of service without concentrating on celebration or fun.
Starting in Shakshi Village and other outpost villages where permanent officers are not placed, matters will be handled by the district administration on a rotating basis until full-fledged officers are assigned. And only if we all work together as a team will it advance. It is about the benefits of the whole, not just the individual. Additionally, He urged the officers attending this program to pay particular attention from the block level. Finally, I want to thank the organisers for planning this event so that everyone can gather and socialise in the village.
Short speeches was also delivered by Ex-MLA and former president, Phom Peoples Council M. Shami Angh, President Phom Peoples Council, President EYSU, VCC Ukha village, President VCC and VDB Association Longleng and BDO Sakshi on behalf of the Officers under Sakshi.
Highlight of the programme which includes special song by Lichai and Y.Phom and folks dance was performed by Yangching village male and Auching village female.
Vote of thanks was delivered by SDO (c) Longleng and EAC incharge Sakshi Hq. Earlier the welcome address was delivered by VCC Sakshi and the programme was chaired by Chinge C and Manphen A Keikung.
