Kohima, October 28 (MExN): As welfare measure for the Central Police Forces, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has decided to establish a Welfare & Rehabilitation Board (WARB) with branches in all states of India.
The State Welfare Office (SWO) and District Welfare Offices (DWO) have been established in all districts of Nagaland based on the guidelines issued by MHA, according to a release issued by PI Cell, HQ IGAR (North). Headquarters 5 Sector Assam Rifles has been nominated as State Welfare Office (SWO) and Commandants of Assam Rifles battalions have been nominated as District Welfare Office (DWO).
All retired Central Police Forces personnel (AR, BSF, CRPF, ITBP, CISF etc) and their next of kin have been requested to report to nearest Assam Rifles battalions headquarters along with their pension, discharge documents, dependent card and get themselves registered in the DWO/SWO for WARB, the release added.
