Wokha, July 30 (MExN): Ethnic Future has won the ‘3rd Open Dance Explosion Competition’ (ODEC-3). Organized by Wokha Circle Students’ Union (WCSU) in collaboration with Wokha District Auto Union (WDAU), the contest was held on July 29 at Town Hall, Wokha under the theme ‘Unveil your dancing skill.’ 17 groups and solo performers from Kohima, Dimapur, Wokha, and Mon vied for the title of the open dance contest. Ethnic Future from Kohima emerged winner, while The Fusion Crew from Wokha won the 1st runner up title, and Anok Konyak from Mon secured 2nd runner up. ARMM Crew from DBHSS Wokha secured Best Costume, Best Moves went to John Kithan, and Best Attitude was won by Illusion Crew from Dimapur. The champion, 1st and 2nd runners up received a certificate and cash award of Rs. 24,000, Rs. 16,000 and Rs. 8000 respectively, while individual prizes were also awarded with certificates and cash, informed a press release from Thunglamo Odyuo, Media Convenor, ODEC-3. The audience was also treated to a performance by the Trinity Mob Crew, the winner of 2016 ZOOMMAX Inter College Fest Dance Competition. Lobeno Tungoe, winner of Voice of Wokha-2017 also presented a special song. The panel of judges for the ODEC-3 comprised of Nzan Ngullie, Trionix Dance Studio Dimapur and Kokliba Thonger, Petros Dance Studio Instructor, Dimapur. Earlier, the programme was chaired by Mhonchumi Yanthan, former cultural secretary, WCSU, welcome address and brief note on ODEC-3 was given by Chanbemo Humtsoe, Event Manager, greeting was extended by Edward Ngully, president WDFA, vote of thanks was delivered by Limhathung Y Ezung, WCSU president.
