EUUN warns govt of protest

Kohima, July 12 (MExN): The Educated Unemployed Union Nagaland (EUUN) will resort to protests and bhans if the government does not address the grievances of the unemployed youth. This was stated in a press release issued by Achilo Thong, President EUUN and Temsumongba Sanglir, Finance Secretary EUUN.

It stated that the NPSC backdoor appointments in government departments and specially the bogus appointments in education department is a “cancer to the society”. It further lamented about the government’s delay in reforming the NPSC and the government officials’ failure in bringing about a change in the system. “The officials instead of fulfilling the democratic aspiration of the people are committing injustice and disservice to the younger generation”,  it stated.

The EUUN is also aware of the inconvenience caused to the public and business community while staging protest to the government but the said reason cannot be an excuse in fulfilling the interest of the young people who wants justice. This kind of situation has pushed to extend of “losing the right to life with basic necessities, when all the opportunities of life are extended by the Government of India”, it stated.

It also mentioned that it is sad to see young people walking along the street screaming for justice but it is sadder to see the elders not being a part of it.
