An evening of Choral Music with the Nagaland Singing Ambassadors

The recently launched  Nagaland Singing Ambassadors (NSA) under the leadership of the highly reputed Conductor & National Award winner, Lipokmar Tzudir, will hold its premier concert in Dimapur on July 16, 2011 at IMC from 6:30 pm. Nagaland Singing Ambassadors was organized in March 2011 by a group of singers who are passionately dedicated to the choral art. The membership to the NSA is strictly invitational. There are no auditions, and the members are chosen for their commitment and experience in choral singing.
The NSA specializes in the performance of 19th and 20th century choral works, as well as large choral compositions of Naga composers. The mission of the choir is to congregate, share ideas and render performances and Music education to Churches and communities in the Northeast and beyond. To date, the NSA has already chalked up an impressive record of critically acclaimed concerts since March 2011, performing at the Music Academy Auditorium Chennai, Spring Festival of the NEZCC, Soso Tham Auditorium Shillong and ITA Performing Arts Auditorium Guwahati. Future plans include collaboration with a forty member Norwegian choir for concerts at Kohima and Dimapur in October this year.
The July 16th concert being its premier performance in Nagaland, A full house audience is expected as indicated by its prompt ticket sales. A performance above par can be expected.
