Dimapur, February 16 (MExN): Chief medical office (CMO) Mon conducted one-day district level eVIN (electronic vaccine intelligence network)-cum-immunization refreshers training at CMO conference hall on February 15.
Dr. Shasinle Tep, DPO (RCH/UIP) chaired the inaugural programme and welcomed the participants. Dr. K. Limatula Ao, Deputy CMO in her speech appealed to all the participants to be attentive during the training and return to perform their work dutifully.
Resource persons Rajesh Monsang project officer UNDP and Imli Longkumer project officer UNDP re-oriented the health workers on strengthening universal immunization programme, UIP schedules, session sites, mobilization, UIP recording and reporting, HMIS and eVIN reporting. They also spoke on the importance of advocacy with the stakeholders and social mobilization, and stressed on capacity building of communities, cold chain and vaccine logistics management etc. The resource persons also trained the cold chain handlers on order management, temperature logger management, online live demo, troubleshooting methods and discussed field issues in eVIN implementation.
Tthe training was attended by all the cold chain handlers, GNMs, ANMs from all the health units and staff of the CMO office.
