Ex-Ace footballer Roko Angami appointed as the NPL Technical Director

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 17  (MExN): The NPL management is proud to announce bringing on board State’s football luminary Roko Angami as the Technical Director. Roko boasts of a football career spanning over two decades and the management is honored to have a person with such experience, knowledge and passion for the game in the team. He represented the Indian junior football team in Israel in the year 1994, represented the state as a footballer from 1990-1998 and has been a coach from 2000 till date. He also went on to play in the first edition of I-League for Mahindra & Mahindra. The highly successful Naga Boys Club was formed by Roko in the year 1999. Roko is also a certified AFC 'B' license coach.
On being appointed as the Technical Director Roko mentioned, "It is an honor to be called into the NPL, and I am more than happy to extend my services for the best interests of football in Nagaland".
His role as a Technical Director will entail overseeing and regulating all technical aspects of the league. Roko along with his technical team will manage all technical matters related to the league.
In his further statement Roko expressed, "I believe this league is something football lovers have been waiting for a long time and it’s finally here, let us all support this league as it has the potential to affect us positively in many aspects and not just in terms of football”.
