
Dimapur, June 23 (MExN): Resigned members of five Village Congress Committee (VCC) issued a clarification note stating to be necessitated by ‘the fallacious press statement’ branded by the 36th ACCC, Satakha leaders on June 22.
On behalf of the resigned members, the note was appended by Qhiveto Jimo ex-chairman, Xukhepu VCC, Yeshika Jimo, ex-chairman, Zungti VCC, Ahovi Jimo, ex-secretary, Kulhopu VCC, Khetovi Jimo, ex-chairman, Nikuto VCC, Hovishe Jimo, ex-chairman, Ghukiye VCC.
“It is known to the general public of our sector (Ghukiye Block) and 36th Area Constituency, that we were chairmen and secretaries of our respective Village Congress Committee (VCC) till we decided to resign on June 12, 2011 to extend our support so as to strengthen the leadership of G. Kaito Aye, Minister (R&B),” the note stated. Further, labeling the allegations of the 36th ACCC leaders as “naked lies”, the resigned members of respective VCC’s informed the 36th ACCC leaders to mind their activities instead of publishing unqualified statements. “We are no more in the Congress party today, however, we had expected at least a word of gratitude since we also gave our sincerity and possible efforts in all assigned activities for the past three years instead, leveling such farcical allegations against us was quite surprising,” the note further stated.
