Kohima, November 14 (MExN): The Ex-Parliamentarians Association of Nagaland (Ex-PAN) has extended its congratulations to the Speaker and Members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) for the successful celebration of the NLA’s 60th Anniversary on October 29.
Lauding the befitting organisation of the programme, the Association especially lauded the recognition of past leaders by naming various locations within the NLA after them. These tributes would ensure that the contributions of these leaders are immortalised for future generations, it added.
The Ex-PAN also expressed its appreciation to the current Members of the NLA, led by the Speaker and the Leader of the House, for their gesture of vacating their respective seats in the Well of the House to allow former Members to sit during the event. This gesture, it said, demonstrated the respect and regard the present Members have for their predecessors.
The Association also wished continued success to the 14th NLA and expressed gratitude for the recognition and respect shown to former Members of the Assembly.
