Ex-parliamentarians appeal NPGs to unite

Dimapur, August 22 (MExN): The Ex Parliamentarians Association of Nagaland (Ex-PAN) today has appealed all the “Naga Nationalist Political Groups (NNPGs) to stop nursing old injuries and accept one another and unite.”  

“This is for the sake of our survival and in the interest of our aspiration by recognizing each other’s contribution towards the cause of the Nagas,” a press note from association President T Khongo and General Secretary Medokul Sophie.  

We further appealed NGOs and the general public to have objective approach towards the situation, it added. The association said the unanimous decisions were resolved during its general meeting held on August 20 at Zonal Council Hall, Kohima.

  Meanwhile, the association also decided to collect a sum of Rs. 5,000/-as Membership fee and Rs.2, 000/- as Annual fee from all its members during the meeting. District in-charges for collection of fees are as follows: 1.Kohima - Asu Keyho 2. Mokokchung - Akumbenba 3. Tuensang- S.Heno 4. Phek- Khuosatho 5. Wokha- Dr. Chumben Murry 6. Zunheboto- Khutovi Sema 7.Dimapur- Atovi Sema 8. Mon- Shiakpong Konyak 9. Kiphire- RL Akamba. 10. Longleng- Shami Angh 11. Peren- Tarie Zeliang.  

It also expressed appreciation to KG Kenye, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) for announcing to contribute an amount of Rs.5 lakh per annum to the association.
