Kohima, May 5 (MExN): An Ex Servicemen Rally was organized for Kohima, Phek, Kiphire, Wokha and Zunheboto districts of Nagaland by the Red Shield Division in coordination with Rajya Sainik Board of Nagaland on May 5 at Zakhama Military Station. Brig K K Ray Choudhary, SM, VSM (Retd), Secretary Rajya Sainik Board addressed the rally and highlighted efforts by the state government to ameliorate the conditions for ex-servicemen, a defence release informed. The Veer Naris and the World War II veterans present at the rally were felicitated. Numerous stalls were put up by the Army and Rajya Sainik Board to update the ESM regarding schemes and policies pertaining to their welfare. A Pensioner Grievance Cell was also established at the venue to address pension related issues of the ESM. The highlight of the rally was establishment of the ‘Suvigya Portals’ which was instrumental in resolutions of many ESM pension issues in situ. As part of the ESM rally a Medical camp was also organized.
