Nagas are fighting for freedom since 1946. A freedom for justice and a freedom from forced occupation (of Nagalim) by the Federal Republic of India in the form of Government political administration (“The Automatic System” generated after British Empire left India).
Nagas are fighting to have own Government and administration without involvement of Indian and other parties (Meiteis, Assamese, Arunachalese, and Burmese). Fighting for the ‘right to live’ with dignity and honor, to prove that Nagas are also capable to have own administration.
Analyze from the Biblical Perspective
From Genesis to till Malachi (OT) talks about only God’s blessing, dealing and Judgment to human being. Why God judge the human being after all he created to live on earth? The very purpose of his creation is to glorify and worship Him by remembering the Creator. When human being started doing wicked things by forgetting the Creator then the judgment followed. Just like father and son, when the son disobeyed his father’s commandment then he will bit or admonish him.
Discussing from the principle point of views only;
I. From the First World
A. A Blessing of God to Adam (Gen.1:28,31)
When God created everything on the earth, he saw it was very good. God said to Adam, “Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth and subdue it”.
Be fruitful means ‘to prosper’ in life. God did not say ‘Be suffer’ (for his sake). Prosperity of human generation is God’s intention, at the same time by remembering him and worship the Creator rather then the creations.
B. A Judgment of God to Adam’s generation (Gen.6:13)
God destroyed the first world by flood and saved only Noah’s family and two pairs of living things from the Ark because Noah walk with God. But God felt sorry for destroying of his creation by flood that is the reason he promised to Noah that he will never destroy by flood again (Covenant).
C. Discussion: What is the cause of God’s judgment?
The answer lies in Gen.6:5 says, “The wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thought of his heart was only evil continually”.
II. From the Second World
A. A Blessing of God to Noah (Gen.9:1) and Abraham (Gen.12:1-3)
God blessed Noah and his family after saving from the universal flood and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth”. God’s blessings always follow to the people in order to have prosperity in life by having a good conduct at the same time to be a witness of the Creator.
The call of God to Abraham from the land of Chaldean (a wicked land) is very unique. God wants to show the land which flows with honey and milk called Canaan. The land of natural resources, gold, mineral, natural gas, petroleum, etc., are found in the present Israel (even in Nagalim). Apart from these resources, God wants Abraham to separate from the wicked and corrupted nation/people in order to build a new nation. A nation will be free from corruption, crimes, wickedness in heart, etc…. but fair and good governance with the Lord whom he has faith in God the Creator. (Compare with the Nagas Problems)
B. A Judgment of God to Noah’s Generation
Starting from Genesis chapter 10 to till Malachi talks about God’s dealing with the people and the nations. When God chose Abraham from the land of Chaldean to set forth for the promise land flowing with honey and milk, God wants him to be a witness and worship the Creator. Abraham is the first person of the generation of Israelites which God always (with them and) protected them from the enemies. Some time God deals to the Israelites for their harden heart and wickedness in the land of Egypt, Wilderness, Sodom Gomorrah, during Judges, Kings and Prophets Time. God is always with the Israelite even in the battle to win over the enemies in order to be a “witness” to the world so that the living God is with them. In many incidents we can find of God’s judgment upon enemies/other nations, to the Egyptian, Philistine, Canaanites, etc...
C. Discussion: Why God is not with the Other Nations?
Because they are wicked in heart and whatever they do is an abominable to God. They forgot the Creator and worshiping the creation. The “Commandment of God” (Ten Commandment) is misused in different form for the sake of convenient and accommodated to their system of life.
III. From the Birth of Christ and His Teaching to the Church Age
For what purpose Jesus Christ came down to earth? Everyone will say ‘to save the world’ (John.3:16). Jesus Christ came to the earth to save from where/whom? From the wicked world! Apostle Paul says, “When the fullness of time has come God sent forth His son, made of a women, made under the law” (Gal.4:4). See the first and last part of “fullness of time” and “under the law”. Exegetically, the word “fullness” is translated into “right” and “perfect” time has come and “under the law” is talk about the political and religious system of the people. This includes of every part of the world (Middle East, Africans nations, Western and Asian nations). The perfect time has come to show God Himself to the world in order to save from the wickedness of heart for salvation. There is no true and living God in them but just worshiping the creations and believing the Government authority, rulers, kings, etc…. There is a wars, crimes, murder, idolatry, adultery, wickedness of heart everywhere which is abominable to God. Muscle power becomes the form of God to worship the kings, rulers and emperors. The only means to show God himself to the world was by performing different types of Miracles, Authoritative Word, unmatchable teaching of Love, Resurrection and Ascension to Heaven.
Even after all this things, still the people did not relent/realized to the living God. Roman Empire including Jews started torturing the Apostles and the follower of Christ to a maximum persecution. Christians are the most sufferers in the 1st – 4th Century till the Declaration of Christian as a universal religion by the Emperor Constantine in 354 AD. The declaration of Emperor Constantine politically approved by the Government of Roman leading to liberty of worship, rights of Christian has been retained and material prosperity of Christian’s growth extended to equal with others.
Analyze from the Political Perspective
I. American Point of View
A. The Birth of Israel Country in 1948
American knew the true and living God the creator and sustainer who always with the Israelites in the past history and has been recorded in the Bible. American believes the Bible as living and inspired Word of God. The promise of God to Abraham, the land flowing with honey and milk called Canaan has replaced by the Islam for many centuries till 1948 AD. Without American the Israelites would have been scattered even today. The action was taken by the American with the Allied Force of European nations to create a country of Israel in 1948.
B. The Present Scenario in Israel
There is an eye to attack on the Israel by Arab world of Iran or Iraq. Will the American silent if the neighboring country attacks on Israel? The moment they attacks on Israel then the American will come with Missile along with the European nations. For any cause Israel has a strong support from Western world. “Do or Die” is the heart of American for Israel. That is the reason the Arab world are zealous and anti to the Western world now. The reason of support is not because of Jews people! It is because of “God’s promises” to Israelites of the land. According to the Bible, the second coming of Christ will take place and He will descend from Heaven to earth at Jerusalem in Israel! Jerusalem is the Centre Point of the world today! Third World War is expected from this Jerusalem.
C. Demolition of Racism in the US Parliament in 1970s
When the American Government wants to send Billy Graham to South Africa for a Peace Mission, he refused to go. Billy Graham has strongly demanded to demolish the racism upon black American and preaching everywhere for justice to be done. After the action has been done by the American Government from the Parliament then Billy Graham went to South Africa for Peace Mission and the African people receipt him like God descending from Heaven!
II. Nagas Point of View
A. NNC and NSCN – Naga Armies
Why do our fore-father revolt against the Republic of India and declared on 14th August as Independence Day still observed at Hebron? Somehow they knew Naga can live as separate country, whereas the Indian thinks Naga cannot run a country and very scare of invasion from China (and Burma) and affects the whole North East which has a maximum number of Bengulis in Assam, Tripura and Manipur. Bengulis are the main key player in the Centre related to the North East Issues. From the time of Indian Independent till today the big post will hold by them and its alliance in the North Eastern region. Why our Naga issues are hidden in the mainland India and even to the Southern politicians? It is a mater of questions to the higher level policy makers from the North, rightly says by the intellect writers of Indian, “Indian Democracy is a 2nd Class in the past and a 3rd Class at present” might have also causes so many struggle for Nagas solution.
A.Z. Phizo could manage to reach London and address the Naga issue to the Britain in 1960s is really something amazing. Another strange thing is that Isaac and Muivah were able to get help (in many forms) from the neighboring countries for so long and reached to the Western world and become a member of UN Human Rights Commission, UNPO, etc.,…. They could even able to influence the 20 members of US Senators for “Signature” to George Bush administration in order to push forward for early solution of the Naga Issues which has been violating the human’s rights by the Indian Arm Force. Former US President Jimmy Carter wrote directly to Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to “push forward for early honorable solution and work out so that India will not have a risk from the neighboring countries of China (Burma and Bangladesh)” is not because of the Nagas politicians but by the NSCN-IM.
Every revolutionary movement behind there is a secret – a Diamond! Once they have seen a Diamond, they will never return back till they achieve. This Diamond is a worth of more then the Nagas populations. Risking their life from their competitors and sometime even among them arise the negative saying “It is impossible to get that Diamond”. They have a Moto; “He should be in Heaven to live in peace rather then struggle on the earth” is for such negative people for discouraging the Movement.
B. UNC and NGOs – Manipur Nagas
Manipur Nagas has been patients for so long with the Meiteis. When the fullness of time has come, God sent forth his Son for “love and equality of life” under the law. I believe God is with our Nagas in the past and present leaders who are running here and there working for the public and its future generation better life, led by UNC President Adani and his colleagues with much prayer. God will never let-down the Nagas rights and justice to be prevail definitely in due time despite of opposition from heathen people and slide disunity among us.
Let us be realistic; looking at the present context of Senapati District head quarter. Just count, how many Nagas are leading in every department of Senapati Office? Maximum the Meiteis are leading in every department. They came to the post with different crude form. The fairer are very rear. They are not smart as our Naga (educated jobless), including the IAS Officers. There is a limit for everything on earth. The Naga leaders can run the entire district in a better way then the present administrators. The IAS Officers doesn’t have a different education from our Naga leaders (and it is nothing but Indian standard of Education with its national environment awareness to pass as IAS).
Suggestion: Now the (whole) Nagas has reached to the spot of Diamond! Whether to get all or sharing with India is a matter of question, since it is in the possession of India (after British left). Our leader Th. Muivah says “Now the ball is in the hand of India”. So let us wait and see what will be the outcome from India and our leader. Our leader knows very well and matures enough to handle any kind of solution and will not leave the Manipur Nagas separately. He himself said, “Without the unification, there is no solution”, which means very clear of inclusion. Hurrying for any move with the Manipur Government and coming to conclusion may cause greater confusion. I feel it will be good to have a constant ‘Consultative Meeting’ with different groups of educated and elderly people. Preparation is always better then the late. We need a preparation for new administration and to tackle corruptions which are prevalent among our Naga society too. In case, if AMUCO and its alliance with Manipur Government strongly oppose the Naga Solution (they are promoting in this way now) then what next? Should we democratically protest peacefully or strongly move against to the Meiteis who are coming for office in all the Naga District, the way Meitei does violently in the valley? Anyway, let us be Praising always to God for such an able, educated and intellect leader we have to deal with GoI from the Centre.
In the end, Let us always talk good about us the way Western/American does.
