KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 1 (MExN): Excise Department personnel manning the Khuzama Inter-State check gate seized 360 (approx) grams of suspected heroin worth Rs 9,40,000 at street value on August 31. A press release from Assistant Commissioner of Excise informed that the duty party headed by Pusukhong, Assistant Inspector of Excise, while conducting routine checking of vehicles, intercepted a truck and on searching the vehicle recovered 36 soap cases from the cabin of the truck, containing suspected heroin. In this connection the driver of the vehicle, identified as one S Rakovei (23 years) was arrested and a case registered.
