DIMAPUR, MAY 17 (MExN): In the continuing seizure of illegal drugs, the District Excise personnel manning Chumukedima Check gate today seized 2000 tablets of Spasorid Proxvyon and 60 bottles of codeine cough syrup from a zonal taxi bearing registration number NL-07-T-0303 (Tata Sumo). A press release from K. Y. Sangtam, Superintendent of Excise and Prohibition, informed that the accused person, identified as Zhetovi Sumi (26 years), has been arrested and booked under Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940. In this regard, the SP Excise and Prohibition has appreciated the efforts of the Excise personnel manning Chumukedima check gate.
