Kohima, July 24 (MExN): In view of the ensuing 10 Northern Angami-1 Bye- Election, the Kohima Excise Election Expenditure Monitoring Squad (EEMS) during the period from July 21 to 23 seized around 1000 bottles of IMFL from Peducha Excise check gate and in and around Kohima Town. The Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition and Nodal Officer for EEM, Kohima compounded the cases and fine was imposed on the defaulters as per the provision of NLTP Act. The seized articles have been kept at Excise Malkhana for destruction, the Superintendent informed in a press release. The Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition, Kohima, I. Vikikhe Aomi further said that surprise checking and raids will be conducted regularly till the Bye-Election is held.
