
Says Nagaland Govt, concerned department desire to inaugurate Doyang Bridge by early June
Dimapur, May 22 (MExN): The Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) today urged concerned contractors of various sector of the ongoing foothills road projects to expedite and improvise the works at the earliest. In a press release, the Committee informed of the Government of Nagaland and the concerned Department of Public Works (R&B)'s desire to inaugurate the Doyang Bridge at Governor’s Camp, Liphanyan, under Wokha district at the “earliest hopefully by the early part of June 2022.”
This would unveil the Historic connectivity bridge to the people of Nagaland as aspired for the last 9 years, added the release issued by the NFHRCC Convenor, Supu Jamir; Co- Convenor, Hokiye Yepthomi; Secretary, W Lemba Chang and Assistant General Secretary, Chenithung Humtsoe.
Accordingly, the Committee urged the concerned contractors to "expedite and improvise the ongoing works soonest so that the Government of Nagaland entourage can ply the said road to Doyang Bridge and beyond on the inauguration day."
The concerned contractors are M/S VIPE Enterprise & Construction Ltd for Dimapur to Atu Ghoki (Zubza River Bridge), Niuland Sector; M/S RK Constructions for motorable foothills road from Niuland to Ralan; M/S T Tachu & Co from Ralan Old to Doyang Bridge and beyond; and M/S L Phukato Shohe & Sons for the Doyang Bridge.
