Dimapur, February 12 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has expressed concern over the lack of registration of coaching institutes even two months after the state government notified guidelines for their regulation, and has urged the administration to hasten the process.
In a statement issued here, the union acknowledged the government and concerned department for implementing the guidelines on November 26, 2025, a demand long-pressed by the ANCSU to ensure transparency and better guidance for students and aspirants.
However, the ANCSU said it was “compelled to express concerns” over the delay in registration of coaching institutes.
As per the notified guidelines, all coaching institutes are required to apply for registration within three months from the date of implementation. Despite two months having elapsed, the union said it was “disheartening to observe that no coaching institute has registered till date.”
The ANCSU has appealed to the Higher & Technical Education Department and the concerned district administrations to expedite the registration process and streamline the functioning of coaching institutes. It has also called upon all coaching institutes to register at the earliest and operate strictly in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
The union cautioned that it would remain vigilant on the issue and “will not allow any unregistered coaching institute to operate after the registration period is expired.”
