Noklak, August 10 (MExN): A team consisting of Administration and Police of Noklak conducted a surprise checking on sale of expired food items and others consumer goods, liquor and narcotic substance in Noklak Town.
According to a DIPR report, the team found and seized expired and unlicensed food items, non-consumables and pharmaceuticals worth several thousands of rupees. The defaulters were imposed minor penalty and a stern warning was issued to all businesses establishments for strict adherence to existing food safety and standard norms. Trade license and permit were also checked.
The seized items were later destroyed in presence of magistrates, SDO (civil) and EAC Noklak, police and representatives of civil society organizations of Noklak Town.
