Expired goods seized from shops in Pfutsero

ADC Pfutsero, Vikeshe Sema with other officials burning the expired goods seized from shops in Pfutsero on March 7. 
 
Pfutsero: The Pfutsero Town Voluntary Consumer Organisation (PTVCO) along with the administrative staff and Police conducted a surprise check of expired goods and seized them from shops in Pfustero on March 7, 2014. The expired items were mostly chips, noodles, juice, squash, tinned fish, mustard oil, etc. The seized items were later burnt at dust-bin dumping site in the presence of ADC and his staff.

PTVCO in a press release appended by its general secretary, Ngotso Dasai and press secretary, Wete Kapfo has requested consumers to be aware while buying soft drinks as most of them have to be consumed within two and half months from the date of manufacture. It also requested ADC, Pfutsero to give circular to the shops stating advice and actions to be taken on defaulters.

The organization further expressed its gratitude to ADC Pfutsero, Vikeshe Sema and EAC Pfutsero, Zubenthang Ngullie for permission and co-operation in executing the said checking. It also thanked OC, Pfutsero Station Chullen Chang and his personnel, PA to ADC, DBs and Pfutsero Advisory Council members for accompanying.
