The Apex Combat Championship (ACC) is set to electrify Dimapur on September 30. The ACC in collaboration with Alobo Naga’s Musik-A Events together with Tune In will be bringing to the stage unadulterated, high octane MMA action featuring some of the biggest MMA names in the national circuit and up and coming fighters from the northeastern region.

ACC promises to be a melting pot of MMA talent, with veterans and rising stars sharing the cage, at the Agri Expo hangar, 4th Mile, Chümoukedima. The events will set rolling at 4:30 pm.

Founded by MMA enthusiasts Yanrenthung Lotha and Chenithing Jami, ACC is making its mark aiming to unearth northeast India's untapped MMA talent. With MMA's rise in the NE region, Nagaland has emerged as a hub for the sport, and ACC seeks to fuel this passion further.

Announcing the event at a press conference in Dimapur on September 25, Alobo Naga said, “The ACC event only serves to further fuel the passion for the sport and inspire a new generation of fighters to pursue their dreams within the cage. It is also committed to giving fighters a stage on which they can showcase their prowess while ensuring that it properly reflects the aspirations of the region's athletes,” said Alobo.

The fight card, as revealed, will feature Musa Conteh, from the American Top Team (ATT) pitted against an unnamed Naga fighter, who was described as an upcoming fighter, “whose identity will be later revealed” by the organisers.

Other fights on the card include a bantam weight faceoff between undefeated MMA national gold medallist Chourajit Laishram from Manipur against 11-time undefeated Darren Karshandy from Shillong's Happy Red Rooster MMA. This match is billed as the “co-main event.”

The card boasts exciting matchups in various weight classes, including Flyweight, with Nazareth Lalthazuala (12 wins) from Mizoram facing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu specialist Aman Gussain (6 wins) from New Delhi, and Aboto Ayemi's going up against Mizoram's Phenom Lalhmangaihzuala. Ayemi has as formidable 99.9 percent KO record, while Lalhmangaihzuala has an impressive record of 12-2.

Aloto Zhimomi from Nagaland and Remmy Kharshandy from Meghalaya will return from their hiatus for an epic “battle of the veterans.”

Mizoram’s HMS Dawngzuala and Meghalaya’s Kedo will make welterweight debuts, while Jeff, with an amateur record of 1-1, faces debutant Avor from Nagaland.

Two promising kickboxers Sentizungla Ozukum from Nagaland and Aasory Tamang from Assam will square off, showcasing women's dominance in the ring.

The event also has lined up entertainment spectacles, featuring Nagaland's Renbeni Odyuo, representing The Fitness House, against Assam’s Leeza, representing The Clinical Spa, Dimapur, in an exhibition boxing match. Leeza was also in MTV Roadies Season 19.

Indie pop artist, singer-songwriter and also member of the TaFMA Nagaland Collective, Joshua Shohe will go glove-to-glove with Tonoto Zhimomi, Mr Nagaland and GMI Mr India.

Moanungsang, the first Naga Idol, will serve as the evening's announcer/host, while Moko Koza and Afrikan Amakishiu entertain between fights. DJ Lil Bomb will be the official DJ.

“MMA fans in Nagaland and beyond can look forward to more thrilling action from the ACC in the future as the promotion continues to make its mark on India's fight scene,” Alobo said.

The event will be preceded by weigh-in and fighter face-off on September 29, which will begin at 10:00 am. Live streaming the fights on the card will be reserved only for the event organisers but the pre-match activities on September 29 will be open to live streaming.
