Mokokchung, January 27 (MExN): In a grand programme organised by the College, Vice-Principal, faculty, staff and students of Fazl Ali College along with well-wishers bid farewell to their former Principal Chubayangla on January 27.
It was stated in a press release that Chubayangla joined Fazl Ali College on December 1981. She was posted at Kohima Science College in 1984 and served there for a few years before returning to Fazl Ali College in the 1990s. Since then she had served her Alma Mater in the capacity of Lecturer, Vice-Principal and Principal for more than three decades.
FAC Vice-Principal, Arenla Lkr lauded the outgoing Principal for her dedication to service and for being an exemplary figure of patience, kindness and humility. In her farewell speech, Chubayangla thanked the Almighty God for leading her and her family throughout her career and expressed gratitude for being associated with all the members of the faculty and staff. She wished the remaining members well and expressed the hope that the foundation to ensure that the College soars to greater heights has already been laid and the future was bright.
A farewell message from Akok Walling, Principal of Dimapur Government College was read out by a Dr. I. Wati Imchen. Farewell speeches were delivered by representatives from FACTA, FACSU and non-teaching staff. The programme was chaired by Watimongla Pongener.
