DIMAPUR, JANUARY 29 (MExN): The Directorate of Food and Civil Supplies has taken notice of reports that some Fair Price Shops (FPS) in the state are not permitting the beneficiaries attached to other FPS to perform eKYC in their FPS, except for those who are attached to their FPS. A press release from the directorate said that any NFSA beneficiary under the state of Nagaland can perform eKYC from any FPS in the state as per the direction of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution Department, Government of India. It also reminded to all concerned that the timeline set by the Ministry to complete eKYC is February, 2024. Therefore, it reminded that no FPS, in the state of Nagaland, should deny/hinder any NFSA beneficiary registered under the Department of Food & Civil Supplies, Government of Nagaland to perform eKYC campaign so as to achieve the target set by the Government of India within the stipulated period. Necessary action will be initiated against non-compliance FPS, it cautioned.
