Faith Theological Seminary conducts 16th convocation

Graduating students with dignitaries during 16th Convocation of Faith Theological Seminary held on June 1.

Kohima, June 1 (MExN): The Faith Theological Seminary (FTS) conducted its 16th Convocation on Saturday wherein academic degrees were presented to 27 graduating students.

FTS is an institute for graduate and post-graduate theological studies in Nagaland. “It integrates academic excellence and professional ministry-skills-training for God’s service,” stated a press release. 

Delivering message at the convocation ceremony, FTC principal Rev Dr Viesielie Angami, exhorted the graduates on servanthood ministry, emphasizing leading through relationships rather than coercion, and meeting the needs of others.

“Support rather than control, guide rather than drive; lead with love rather than domination,” he said.

The principal gave away the awards and the certificate to the graduates.

The service was led by academic dean Asola Jamir. Ngovetso Lohe and Seminary Choir presented special numbers. Mhasikhonuo of M. Div spoke on behalf of the graduating students.

The Academic Excellence Award was presented to Nanu Thapa of M. Div and Kevingulie Pesochu of B. Th. The best Thesis Award has been conferred to Mhasikhonuo Thepa of M. Div (Regular), and the best Term Paper for Distance Education to Zuvithsu. The best All-Rounder award was received by Tometh Konyak of B. Th.
