Fantasy Coffee Bar in Phek town opens

Through the intervention of the Department of Land Resources, Phek, a Fantasy Coffee Bar was opened today at Phek town. It was formally inaugurated by Phek deputy commissioner Razouvolie Dozo. It is located near Clock Tower, Phek Town.

Speaking on the occasion, he complimented the department of land resources, Phek for making such Coffee Bar possible and also proprietor Salie Khesoh for taking up the venture.

Stressing on the need to have more hangout places in the town, Dozo said “Hopefully, we may see Kiwi Wine Bar in the near future also.”

Stating that there are lots of scopes for entrepreneurs to take up the business activities in the town, he said “We need little bit of innovative ideas.”

He also stressed on the need to train more people in baking, chef and other activities.

Thanking the land resources department for extending training to the people here, Dozo also assured that the district administration would also facilitate the training of people so that they are employed and engaged in the income generation activities.
 
10 lakh standing coffee plants in Phek dist

Earlier, Levi Bennet, District Project Officer, Land Resources department, Phek   said that there are more than 10 lakh standing coffee plants covering almost of all the villages in Phek district.

About 300 kgs of Coffee are expected to be harvested this year, which were planted during 2017-18.

The department has provided 25 Coffee pulper machine to progressive coffee farmers this year.

Earlier, the function was chaired by Neilhouvolie while Salie Khesoh, proprietor FCB proposed vote of thanks.
