Far flung village appeal for more teachers

Dimapur, May 5 (MExN): The problem of bogus teachers continues to worry the affected schools as well as the concerned department.
The Pessao Village Council (PVC) today said that since the scandal of bogus teachers have cropped up recently two schools in Pessao village, Mon are facing untold miseries as students attend the classes without teachers. PVC Chairman S. P Chemang Konyak in a press release said in one school three teachers struggle to manage the functioning of the school while in another there are only two teachers.
The Council also stated that trained teachers like CPTE-pass were trained at the cost of government under SSA towards new pedagogy as trained teachers have wider experience and knowledge than the untrained teachers. Therefore, it would be nice on the part of government not to terminate them but to give a chance to impart better education to the students.
“We need more teachers to mould the student’s career. Inspite of repeated appeal and request to the higher authorities, it seems our grievances are not heard by the concerned authorities,” PVC added while requesting to look into the matter and provide them with qualified teachers and accommodate sufficient teachers as required by the school for the welfare of the aggrieved students.
