Farewell programme held for outgoing administrative officers in Kohima

Kohima, April 6 (MExN): A farewell programme for outgoing administrative officers of Kohima district was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall on April 6.

Deputy Commissioner Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, said it was the first time in his service that he had witnessed such a large number of officers being transferred at once. He stated that transfers and postings are routine in government service and that the officers have been placed appropriately in recognition of their capabilities.

He appreciated the professionalism, sincerity and dedication of the outgoing officers, noting their diligence, analytical ability, integrity and commitment to duty. He expressed confidence that they would continue to perform effectively in their new assignments and uphold the values of public service.

The DC also encouraged them to remain supportive and extend assistance whenever required. He added that their work would be remembered and wished them the best in their future postings.

Speaking on behalf of the officers, RO Kohima Kevingoto Kulnu acknowledged the services rendered by the officers and highlighted their contributions in handling eviction drives, disaster response and law and order situations. He said their dedication and composure had strengthened the functioning of the district administration.

DB-I Ruokuolhouvo, speaking on behalf of the Dobashis, appreciated the guidance and support extended by the officers, while UDA Vilalie Sogotsu, on behalf of the staff, acknowledged their sincerity and hard work.

Short speeches were delivered by outgoing officers Alemyapang Longchar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Chiephobozou); Rorheu Peseyie, Sub Divisional Officer (C) Hq; James Renbi Kikon, Sub Divisional Officer (C) Sadar; Imliakum Sanglir, Sub Divisional Officer (C) Sechü Zubza; Limakumla Pongener, Extra Assistant Commissioner (Kezocha); and Moasunep K. Jingru, Extra Assistant Commissioner (Chiephobozou). They expressed gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner, fellow officers and staff for their support during their tenure.

The programme was chaired by SDO (C) Jakhama Vineikho Tetso, invocation was pronounced by Medoneisa Chadi, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Riku Khutso, EAC Kohima.
